Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Coaching Beyond Pvt. Ltd. (“Coaching Beyond”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores and protects personal information in connection with our website at www.coachingbeyond.in (the “Website”) and our cricket coaching programmes, training sessions, camps, clinics and events (the “Programmes”).
This Policy is designed to reflect the principles of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), together with the principles of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). We have adopted this combined standard — covering lawfulness, fairness and transparency, purpose limitation, data minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation, and appropriate security — so that everyone we work with receives a consistent, high standard of protection regardless of location.
Where a player is under 18 years of age, references to “you” in relation to registration and consent apply to the player's parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for providing accurate information and any required consent on the player's behalf.

2. What Personal Data We Collect
We collect different categories of personal data depending on how you interact with us:
2.1 Website Visitors
Technical and usage data collected automatically when you use the Website (e.g. IP address or device identifier, device type, operating system, pages visited), including data collected via Google Analytics 4 where you have consented to analytics cookies. See Section 10 for full detail on cookies and automated data collection.
2.2 Enquiries
Name, contact details (email and/or phone), and any information you choose to include in your enquiry message.
2.3 Programme Registration (Players and Parents/Guardians)
Where you register for a Programme (currently handled offline, through channels other than the Website), we may collect:
- Player name and age / date of birth
- Parent/guardian name and contact details
- Emergency contact information
- Cricket experience and playing level
- Relevant medical, health, or fitness information (sensitive personal data)
- Other information reasonably required for programme participation
2.4 Website Account / Login
Login credentials and the account details displayed to you, reflecting information previously submitted as part of registration.
2.5 Photography and Video
Images or recordings taken during sessions, camps or events, where consent has been obtained for promotional or communication use, as described in our Terms & Conditions.
3. Why We Collect It and Our Legal Basis
We only process personal data where we have a valid legal basis:
- Contract — to register a player, deliver Programme services, and manage attendance, scheduling and fees.
- Consent — for non-essential cookies/analytics, for medical or health information relating to minors, and for use of photography/video for promotional purposes.
- Legitimate interests — for basic website analytics and general safety/operational administration of Programmes, balanced against your rights and interests.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to retain certain records (e.g. for safety, safeguarding, or regulatory purposes).
- Vital interests — in the rare case we need to act on medical information to protect a player's immediate health or safety.
4. Children's Data
We recognise that much of the personal data we collect relates to children under 18. We only collect this information with the involvement and verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, and only to the extent reasonably necessary to safely deliver our Programmes, consistent with the child-related consent requirements of both UK GDPR and India's DPDP Act.
We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children through the Website without parental/guardian involvement. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us using the details in Section 1 so we can address it.
5. How Long We Keep Personal Data
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. As a general default:
- Registration and Programme-related data is retained for the duration of a player's participation, and for up to 24 months after their last participation, to allow for re-enrolment, historical record-keeping, and handling of any post-participation queries.
- Enquiry data that does not lead to registration is retained for up to 12 months.
- Data may be retained for longer where required by law (e.g. safeguarding, tax, or dispute-related obligations), or shorter where you exercise your right to erasure under Section 8.
6. Who We Share Personal Data With
We do not sell personal data. Personal data is not currently shared with external third parties for their own independent use, with the following exception:
- Google Analytics (Google LLC) — processes limited website usage data, where you have consented to analytics cookies. See Section 10 for details, and Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Internally, access to personal data (including account/login information) is restricted to authorised Coaching Beyond staff and administrators who require it for operational, coaching, safety, or administrative purposes.
If this changes in future — for example, if we begin using a payment processor or booking platform — this Policy will be updated to reflect the new third party and the data shared with them.
7. International Data Transfers
Where data is processed by Google Analytics, it may be transferred to and processed on servers located outside India, including in the United Kingdom, European Economic Area, or United States, subject to Google's own safeguards and data transfer mechanisms. Details are available in Google's Privacy Policy.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Request erasure of your personal data
- Object to or restrict our processing of your personal data
- Request data portability, where applicable
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal
If you believe your personal data hasn't been handled properly, you have the right to raise it with your local data protection authority. We'd also welcome the chance to sort it out directly — just reach out using the contact details in Section 1.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 1. We may need to verify your identity, and where a request relates to a minor, we may need to confirm you are their parent or legal guardian.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration, including restricting internal access to authorised staff and administrators. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
